LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 80TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 1, 2007

TO:
Honorable Anna Mowery, Chair, House Committee on Land & Resource Management

FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB3188 by Howard, Charlie (Relating to granting a change in the zoning classification of property based on an inability to market or develop the property under that classification.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would apply only to a home-rule municipality with a population of more than 26,000 that is located within a county with a population of more than 249,000 and that contains within its municipal limits a toll road constructed by a Regional Mobility Authority under Chapter 370, Transportation Code. The only municipality to which those criteria apply is Cedar Park.

Local Government Impact

Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
