No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 372 of the Local Government Code regarding procedures for establishing, adding or excluding area of, funding, and making assessments and payments for a public improvement district and improvement projects.

The bill would take effect immediately if it were to receive the required two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2007.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated as a result of changes in procedures or financing of public improvement districts and projects.
