IN RE: | HB3275 by Miller (Relating to a study regarding the distribution of funds for highway projects.), Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted |
The bill would require the Texas Transportation Commission to conduct a study of the feasibility of prioritizing the distribution of funds to highway projects that enhance federally-designated emergency evacuation routes and determine the sources of funds available for such projects.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) estimates the cost of the feasiblity study would be approximately $250,000. Based on the analysis of TxDOT, it is assumed any costs and duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
