No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require continuing education for teachers to include activities for professional development that provide knowledge and skills shown to improve instructional effectiveness and that are linked to areas identified in teachers' performance appraisals as needing improvement, areas related to teachers' professional goals, or areas related to subject areas taught.
Local Government Impact
School districts would be required to comply with continuing education requirements for teachers.
