According to THC, the bill would cost the agency $120,000 to contract a report on the agency’s behalf that would include architectural drawings and a budget for a new museum and visitor center in Stephen F. Austin State Park and completed no later than December 1, 2008.
According to TPWD, the bill would cost the agency $29,251 in fiscal year 2008 to develop a detailed plan, including costs for labor, travel, postage, development of presentations and renderings, advertising for public hearings, and other miscellaneous costs within bill deadlines. This estimate assumes the costs to TPWD for implementation of the bill could be absorbed within TPWD's existing resources.
According the the State Preservation Board (SPB), on behalf of the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum, costs for implementing the bill could be absorbed within SPB's existing resources.
