Honorable Anna Mowery, Chair, House Committee on Land & Resource Management
FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB3486 by Kolkhorst (Relating to the authority of the asset management division of the General Land Office to sell real property to an economic development corporation.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would authorized the Asset Management Division of the General Land Office to sell real property owned by the state that the Legislature has authorized or the Governor has approved for sale under Natural Resources Code, Subchapter E, if the Land Commissioner determines that such a sale is in the best interest of the state. This change is not expected to have a significant impact on the amount of money the Asset Management Division is able to generate each fiscal year for the Permanent School Fund No. 44.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
