No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would permit a governing body of a political subdivision other than a county to change the date on which it holds its general election for officers to another authorized uniform election date. The governing body must make this change no later than December 31, 2008. The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.
