No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family code relating to procedures for determining court jurisdiction under the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act.  The bill would require a court to provide a court of another state with a copy of any written order resulting from a jurisdictional hearing.  To the extent the bill would amend court procedures relating to child custody issues, no significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
