LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 80TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 23, 2007

TO:
Honorable Kino Flores, Chair, House Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures

FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB3676 by Davis, John (Relating to regulation of certain services assisting with alcoholic beverage license and permit applications; providing a penalty.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

There would be costs to counties to implement and enforce the licensing rules proposed by the provisions of the bill. Counties also would see minimal revenues from the service licensing fees.

There would be some costs to counties to prosecute the new offense proposed in Section 7.014, but those costs would depend on the number of offenders.
