FISCAL NOTE, 80TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 30, 2007

TO:
Honorable Rick Hardcastle, Chair, House Committee on Energy Resources

FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB3708 by King, Phil (Relating to underground natural gas storage facilities in Texas.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require Railroad Commission to promulgate and enforce rules and orders necessary to promote the creation, development, construction, operation, and maintenance of underground natural gas storage facilities in Texas. This estimate assumes that any fiscal implications associated with passage of the bill could be absorbed using existing agency resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
