LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 80TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 2, 2007

TO:
Honorable Harvey Hilderbran, Chair, House Committee on Culture, Recreation, & Tourism

FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB3716 by Krusee (Relating to the process of allowing a variance to be granted under the Capitol view corridors law.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill authorizes the governing body of a municipality, the General Land Office, and the Texas Historical Commission to grant a variance to the Capitol view corridors law. It is estimated that the state agencies could meet the requirements of the bill using existing resources. Therefore, no significant fiscal impact to the state is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
