Honorable Mike Krusee, Chair, House Committee on Transportation
FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB3719 by Krusee (Relating to the creation, powers, and duties of a transportation infrastructure services district imposing taxes and authorizing bonds.), As Introduced
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would add Chapter 432 to Subtitle I, Title 6 of the Transportation Code to authorize the creation of a transportation infrastructure services district in an area located entirely in a county with a population of less than 1.3 million in which the principal municipality has a population of 600,000 or more and that meets other certain criteria. The bill would apply to Travis County only.
Local Government Impact
Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
