No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill requires the Department of State Health Services and the Texas Diabetes Council to assist in the establishment of a diabetes demonstration pilot program at the Memorial Health System of East Texas to provide a comprehensive approach to promoting the prevention and treatment of ancanthosis nigricans and diabetes.

The Department of State Health Services and the Texas Diabetes Council will assist the Memorial Health System of East Texas to establish a diabetes demonstration pilot program using existing resources.
