April 9, 2007

TO:
Honorable Patrick M. Rose, Chair, House Committee on Human Services

FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB3797 by Vaught (Relating to exempting local registrars and county clerks from certain bureau of vital statistics fees.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would exempt local registrars and county clerks from certain bureau of vital statistics fees for accessing the Remote Birth Access site. It is assumed the bill would not have a significant revenue impact.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. There would be a minimal savings to local governments from the waiver of the fee.
