LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 80TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 16, 2007

TO:
Honorable Kip Averitt, Chair, Senate Committee on Natural Resources

FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB3929 by Crownover (Relating to the funding of the Alternative Fuels Research and Education Division of the Railroad Commission of Texas.), As Engrossed

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Railroad Commission to carry forward into fiscal year 2009 any unexpended balances that were budgeted for consumer rebate programs in fiscal year 2009. Because the Railroad Commission already has unexpended authority between fiscal years within a biennium, this estimate assumes that passage of the bill would have no fiscal implications.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
