HB3930 by Homer (Relating to the appeals process in the disposition of cruelly treated animals.), As Engrossed

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to remove from statute the prohibition of an appeal of a court order to sell an animal at public auction; to give an animal to a nonprofit animal shelter, pound, or animal protection society; or to humanely destroy the animal.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
