No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Insurance Code to establish insurance eligibility requirements for property located in first tier coastal counties and require the commissioner to adopt necessary rules.

Based on the analysis of the Texas Department of Insurance, any duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
