TO: | Honorable Jane Nelson, Chair, Senate Committee on Health & Human Services |
FROM: | John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board |
IN RE: | SB28 by Nelson (Relating to transferable physician orders for life-sustaining and related treatment.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted |
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) to develop a form for transferable physician orders. DSHS and DADS indicate the form could be developed using existing resources.
It is assumed any rules necessary to implement the provisions of the bill would be developed using the existing resources of the Health and Human Services Commission, DSHS, and DADS.
