No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill requires physician licensure applicants who, on September 1, 2005, held a physician-in-training (PIT) permit with the Texas Medical Board (TMB) or had a PIT application pending before TMB, to pass each part of a licensure examination within three attempts and pass the remaining part of the examination within six attempts.
