SB43 by Nelson (Relating to the modification of an order establishing the conservatorship of a child or providing for the possession of or access to a child based on military deployment.), As Engrossed

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code, Chapter 156 relating to the modification of an order establishing the conservatorship of a child or providing for the possession of or access to a child based on military deployment.  The bill would exclude members of the military who are on active duty from changes to child custody orders that normally would be triggered if the person relinquished the primary care of a child to another person for more than six months.  To the extent the bill would change procedures for determining child custody rights, no fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.
