SB138 by Nelson (Relating to promoting the retention and graduation of students enrolled in professional nursing programs.), As Engrossed
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the Higher Education Coordinating Board to develop methods to promote the retention and graduation of students enrolled in a professional nursing program and establish a program to recognize a professional nursing program that achieves a graduation rate of 85 percent or more. It is assumed that the Higher Education Coordinating Board and higher education institutions with nursing programs would be able to implement provisions of the bill within existing resources.
