No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
The bill would require that educational diagnosticians hired on or after September 1, 2008 hold an appropriate certificate or permit. However, the bill would allow an individual employed by a school district as an educational diagnostician before September 1, 2008 to continue serving in that role without obtaining a certificate or permit for the duration of the person's employment with that district.
