IN RE:
SB198 by Nelson (Relating to the recognition of hospitals with outstanding nursing programs and a listing of hospital nursing staff information.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to require the Statewide Health Coordinating Council to establish a program to annually recognize hospitals with outstanding nursing programs and to maintain on its website a listing of hospital nursing staff information.

It is assumed that the Statewide Health Coordinating Council at the Department of State Health Services could implement the provisions of the bill within existing resources.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
