IN RE:
SB203 by Nelson (Relating to a study of the feasibility of providing immunizations to certain students enrolled in health professional degree programs.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill requires the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to conduct a joint study of the feasibility of providing immunizations without charge or at a discounted rate to economically disadvantaged students enrolled in health professional degree programs at institutions of higher education in Texas. A joint written report is required to be submitted to the legislature by January 15, 2009. DSHS indicates the study can be completed by their Immunization Branch with available resources.
