LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 80TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 11, 2007

TO:
Honorable Rob Eissler, Chair, House Committee on Public Education

FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB282 by Gallegos (relating to notice regarding the availability of programs under which a student may earn college credit in public schools. ), Committee Report 2nd House, As Amended

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.

School districts that do not have websites would incur some relatively minor costs to produce and distribute the required notice.  Since more than 1,000 school districts currently maintain websites, costs for alternate means of notification would not be expected to be significant statewide.
