IN RE:
SB297 by West, Royce (Relating to the composition of the committee appointed to review the uniform general conditions of state building construction contracts.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would change the composition of the committee appointed to review the uniform general conditions of state building construction contracts to include nominees from members of the boards of directors of the Hispanic Contractors Association de Tejas and the Black Contractors Association.

The bill would no longer require the executive director of the National Association of Minority Contractors or an individual representing the interests of historically underutilized businesses to submit nominees for this committee.
