SB303 by Harris (Relating to health care coverage for a child in a suit affecting the parent-child relationship.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend statute as it relates to child support matters and provides that the courts decide which health insurance coverage shall be provided to a child if both parents have access to health insurance. It is assumed that any additional costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

The bill would take effect on September 1, 2007.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
