No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to the regulation of health benefit plan issuers and dissemination of information to patients, physicians, and other providers.

Based on the analysis of the Employees Retirement System (ERS), it is assumed the bill would not have a significant impact on the health benefit plans administered by ERS. Based on the analysis of Teachers Retirement System (TRS), it is assumed the bill would not apply to health benefit plans administered by TRS.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
