No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to the licensing and regulation of dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and dental laboratories and would provide penalties for violations.

Based on information provided by the Board of Dental Examiners, it is assumed that costs related to the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be covered by utilizing existing resources.

This bill would take effect September 1, 2007.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
