SB410 by Harris (Relating to the authority of certain municipal peace officers on a lake located partly in the municipality.), As Engrossed

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Parks and Wildlife Code to provide that a municipal peace officer who is certified as a marine safety officer may enforce provisions under the Water Safety Act on the entire area of a lake if any portion of the lake is located within the corporate limits or extraterritorial jurisdiction of that municipality. The bill would take effect immediately if it were to receive the required two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise it would take effect September 1, 2007.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
