SB503 by Hegar (Relating to funding for the continuing education of certain peace officers.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code regarding reporting requirements by local law enforcement agencies to the comptroller to be eligible for allocations from the Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education Fund account. The proposed changes would apply to allocations made on or after January 1, 2009. The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.

The proposed changes would not affect the amount of money going into or being distributed from the account. There would be no significant administrative costs to the Comptroller's Office.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
