SB555 by Lucio (Relating to designating April as Texas Fruit and Vegetable Month.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would designate the month of April of each year as Texas Fruit and Vegetable Month to promote awareness of the health benefits of fruits and vegetables and to encourage Texans to consume more fruits and vegetables.

The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in both houses;
otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2007.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
