No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill would provide the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) concurrent jurisdiction with the consent of the local prosecutor to handle the prosecution of certain offenses involving the unlawful appropriation or misapplication of state property or unlawful conduct in certain state-funded facilities. The bill would also provide for a criminal penalty. The OAG anticipates any legal work resulting from the passage of this bill could be reasonably absorbed with current resources.
