No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend statute and afford the Attorney General authority to provide assistance to local, county, or district attorneys in the prosecution of certain offenses involving the unlawful appropriation or misapplication of state property. It is assumed that any additional costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing state resources.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.
