IN RE:
SB573 by Brimer (Relating to an interim study concerning the breeding of white-tailed and mule deer in this state.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would create a new select interim committee to study the practice of breeding white-tailed deer and mule deer. The committee would consist of nine members, appointed by the Lieutenant Governor, the Speaker of the House, and the Governor. To the extent that staff of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) would be involved in assisting and providing data to the select committee, according to TPWD staff time and resources needed to provide this assistance are expected to be minimal, therefore no significant fiscal impact to the State is anticipated.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.
