No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Under provisions of the bill, the University of Texas System may impose on each student enrolled at the University of Texas at Brownsville an intercollegiate athletics fee in an amount not to exceed $7 per semester credit hour. The University of Texas System estimates the fee will generate $10,790,787 in auxiliary funds over the next five years. Enrollment increases will generate additional revenue. The student services building fee will be locally assessed by the University of Texas at Brownsville.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
