No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Article 6243e.2(1), Revised Statutes, to make changes to the firefighters' relief and retirement fund. Article 6243e.2(1) applies only to a municipality with a population of 1.6 million or more. Based on the 2000 U.S. Census, the article applies only to the City of Houston.
