No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Under provisions of the bill, the Higher Education Coordinating Board may conduct a study to determine whether institutions of higher education may effectively enter into joint partnerships agreements. If the Board conducts the study, the Board would be required to report the results of the study to the Legislature by January 1, 2009. The Coordinating Board would implement provisions of the bill within existing resources.
