No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code §106.12 relating to the expunction of certain alcohol-related convictions committed by a minor.  The bill would allow a person who is at least 19 years of age to apply to the convicting court for an expunction if at least one year has elapsed since the date of the offense and the person has not been convicted of other alcohol-related offenses.  The bill would allow a person to file only one application for an expunction for this purpose.  To the extent the bill would amend procedures under which persons may seek expunctions, no significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. 

 

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.
