No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends Health and Safety Code, Section 481 which further defines the terms "summary destruction" and "summary forfeiture" relating to controlled substances. The bill would take effect immediately if it is passed by two-thirds votes of all members of each house. Otherwise, the bill would take effect on September 1, 2007.
 
The Department of Public Safety anticipates that the bill would have no significant fiscal impact to their agency.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
