SB757 by Hegar (Relating to the planning and management of state telecommunications services by the Department of Information Resources.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Department of Information Resources to establish plans and policies for telecommunications services it manages and operates and make an assessment on the progress made towards the goals for a state telecommunications network.  

The bill would abolish the Telecommunications Planning and Oversight Council and transfer all duties to the Department of Information Resources.
