No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill expands to all health care providers those whom the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) shall encourage to participate as telemedicine medical service providers. The bill modifies the terminology by which telemedecine sites are referred, replacing "hub" and "remote" site with "patient" and "distant" site; terms are defined. The bill directs HHSC to request any required federal waiver or authorization necessary to implement the bill and to adopt rules.
