No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Section 142.051, Local Government Code, to change the applicability of Subchapter B (Local Control of Police Officer Employment Matters in Certain Municipalities).
Local Government Impact
The fiscal impact to a municipality that under current statute is not affected by Subchapter B, Chapter 142 of the Local Government Code, but would be affected under provisions of the bill, would depend on whether a meet and confer agreement is established and the provisions of that agreement.
