No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Section 88 of the Health and Safety Code regarding children with a confirmed blood lead level of concern. The bill would add Sections 88.007-88.009, which would allow the Department of State Health Services to adopt rules for standards of care for follow-up care, to conduct environmental lead investigations, and to adopt rules establishing procedures for environmental lead investigations.
