No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code relating to access to criminal history record information by the state appellate courts.  The bill would allow a state appellate court to have access to criminal history information for persons who are applicants for employment, volunteer positions, or an appointment made by the court.  To the extent the bill would require the Department of Public Safety to provide appellate courts with criminal history information for applicants, no significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. 

 

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
