SB896 by Fraser (relating to procedures of the Public Utility Commission of Texas with regard to certain transactions. ), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Utilities Code to provide for the Public Utility Commission's consideration regarding certain transactions involving a public utility, holding company, or affiliate.

It is assumed that the duties and requirements associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. 

This bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a vote of two-thirds of all members elected to each house or would otherwise take effect on September 1, 2007.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
