SB932 by Jackson, Mike (Relating to the required contents of a voter registration certificate.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require that jurisdictional information be included in the voter registration certificate related to the voter's congressional district, the state senatorial and state representative districts, commissioners precinct, justice precinct, city election precinct or school district election precinct. In addition to the aforementioned territorial units,  a voter registration certificate could include up to seven distinguishing numbers for any other territorial units in which the voter resides. The bill would apply to a voter registration certificate issued for a period beginning on or after January 1, 2008.

The bill would be effective immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote. Otherwise it would be effective September 1, 2007.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
