SB981 by West, Royce (Relating to employee voting; creating an offense.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Election Code to require an employer during the 30 days before each statewide election to post in a conspicuous location where it can be seen by employees a notice setting forth an employees' rights regarding voting during work hours. Failure to post the notice would be a Class C misdemeanor.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
