No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would prevent the parent of a child from inheriting through the child under the laws of descent and distribution if the probate court finds by clear and convincing evidence that grounds existed for the involuntary termination of the parent-child relationship, as described by Section 161.001(1) of the Family Code, before the death of the child.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
