The bill would amend the Transportation Code to add "hospital district or hospital authority" to the definition of "local government" for the purpose of forming a local government transportation corporation.
Local Government Impact
The fiscal impact would depend on whether a hospital district or authority were to choose to form a local government transportation corporation and the activities of that corporation. Chapter 431, Transportation Code, authorizes various means of funding related to operations of a corporation.
